Procedures for introducing new content to schools
We’ve identified three types of procedures for introducing new content into schools: those linked to individual teachers, to schools and their heads, and to local or central authorities. The existence of these three pathways is positive, providing a variety of options. Every education system should include all three, allowing the most suitable pathway to be chosen based on the content, its nature, and the needs of the class, school, or community. However, certain features of the approaches and problems require further reflection.
